One person is dead after an early morning drag race on Staten Island ends in a multi-vehicle crash.
Investigators say a little after 2 a.m. four people in a Dodge Charger and another car were racing on the West Shore Expressway when the Charger hit an SUV near Arden Avenue.
That caused the SUV, carrying two people, to hit a box truck.
The front seat passenger of the Charger was killed in the crash.
The drivers of the Charger and SUV have been arrested, with the SUV driver charged with driving while intoxicated.
The crash sent a total of 4 people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
