City Hall went pink Sunday to celebrate a century of Planned Parenthood.

The building was lit up with pink lights to mark 100 years since the organization opened its first clinic in Brooklyn.

There are now 650 Planned Parenthood clinics open across the country.

Among those in attendance at Sunday's event was the grandson of the group's founder, Margaret Sanger.

"She struggled for 50 years. In and out of jail a dozen times, ostracized, people calling her all kinds of names, but she had this vision to liberate women from enforced childbearing and to say children should be the product of choice and not chance," said Alexander Sanger.

Planned Parenthood says more than 150 events were held worldwide to mark the anniversary.
