Police put out a new surveillance photo of a person they say shot a plainclothes officer with a pellet gun in Jamaica, Queens earlier this week.

They say the person seen here was sitting in the back of a brown Nissan Altima when they fired the gun around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police believe the person is around 20-years-old and that the Altima had a Missouri license plate reading YH4 H3T.

Sources say Detective Adam Jangel and Sergeant Mary Humburg were riding in an unmarked car on Jamaica Avenue near 168th Street when the pellet struck Jangel in the forehead

He was treated at Jamaica Hospital and released.
