NEW YORK - It's time to lace up your skates and practice your pirouettes.

The Rockefeller Center Ice Rink officially opens for the season Tuesday.

The opening ceremony at 10 a.m. will feature a performance by skaters from Ice Dance International.

Olympic silver medalist Sasha Cohen will cut the ribbon before the first public skate, which begins at 10:15 a.m.

The Rockefeller Center rink first opened on Christmas Day in 1936.
