Toilets are turning into treasure at a new oyster installment in Queens' Jamaica Bay.
Workers starting placing 50,000 oysters in the bay Tuesday morning.
They're being set up on 'oyster beds,' which are made out of porcelain that came from 5,000 recycled toilets.
The Department of Environmental Protection says the beds will protect against waves, which will help preserve the wetlands and improve the water quality.
The project is part of a city public school initiative called the "Billion Oyster Program."
Mayor Bill de Blasio says it's the largest single installation of breeding oysters in the city's history.
