Police have arrested a man in connection with the house explosion in the Bronx that killed a firefighter Tuesday.

Garivaldi Castillo, 32, is charged with two counts of marijuana possession.

The arrest comes as police investigate if the home on West 234th Street in Kingsbridge was being used as a marijuana grow house.

Sources say the blast was a natural gas explosion.

Investigators are looking into whether someone tampered with the gas line to enhance the plants' growth.

Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Fahy was hit by a piece of debris from the blast and killed.

A wake will be held for Fahy Thursday and Friday in Yonkers, followed by a funeral Saturday.

U.S. marshals also arrested 34-year old Julio Salcedo in Cliffside Park, New Jersey hours after the explosion.

Salcedo rented a room in the house and was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.
