Presidential politics come to life at a new exhibit at the Children's Museum of Manhattan.

Called "I Approve This Message," it showcases a more personal side to our Commanders in Chief.

Visitors ages two to 10 can check out the autographs of former U.S. presidents like Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt.

And interactive activities can put them right in the White House.

The museum's curators say its a great way to get kids excited about the democratic process.

"This collection is unique because it really is a personal side of the presidents. Personal notes that they've written, things that they've done for everyday citizens, so kids get a really human glimpse of who the presidents are," said Children's Museum of Manhattan Executive Director Andy Ackerman.

"We have the oval office desk where kids get to pretend to be President, they get to vote, they get to put their face in the dollar or the penny," said Ellen Bari, the exhibit's curator.

The exhibit opens Saturday and runs until the end of the year.
