Mayor Bill de Blasio held a town hall meeting in Queens Wednesday.

The mayor touted his administration's achievements in building affordable housing, implementing universal pre-K and keeping the city's crime rate down.

Residents raised concerns about issues like noise pollution near JFK Airport and construction of hotels in the borough.

"We think in a number of facilities, whether it is in some cases rezoning or whether it's something that requires a particular permit for the creation of a hotel, we think there has to be the kind of development that fits the community. This is our broad view. This is what we're doing with rezonings all over the city," de Blasio said. "There's ways that we can change what is allowable in a community."

Other hot topics included neighborhood policing and efforts to protect the borough's Muslim community.
