The Holy Grail of baseball cards is among a collection of rare cards slated to go up for auction in early October.

The Honus Wagner baseball card from 1909 when he was the Pittsburgh Pirates' shortstop is the most expensive one in the world.

It last sold for $2.1 million, but could draw as much as $5 million when it goes to the block at Goldin Auctions on October 1.

Wagner's card became exceptionally rare after he objected to its inclusion in packs of cigarettes. Only a small number were ever produced.

Other rare cards to be auctioned off include Mickey Mantle, Roberto Clemente, and Hank Aaron rookie cards.

The Honus Wagner card is scheduled to be on display Friday afternoon at a Manhattan restaurant.
