NEW YORK - An iconic jersey worn by Mike Piazza is now on display at the September 11th Memorial and Museum in Lower Manhattan.

Piazza wore the jersey on September 21, 2001, in the first professional sports game played in the city following the terrorist attacks.

He hit a home run in the eighth inning that wound up winning the game for the Mets.

The memorial's president tweeted a statement saying, "The jersey is a reminder of New Yorkers’ ability to come together and help one another."
