Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial end of summer.
And plenty of holiday travelers will be headed out of town.
The Port Authority says more than 7 million people will likely use its facilities this weekend, including airports, bridges and tunnels.
More than 2 million people are expected to travel through the area's three major airports.
The state has suspended most road construction projects this weekend.
Work is set to resume at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Officials hope the closures will minimize traffic congestion and travel delays.
