At this time, authorities say there's no evidence that connects the Chelsea explosion to a pipe bomb that detonated in a Jersey Shore town.

The bomb exploded inside a trashcan in Seaside Park around 9:30 Saturday morning.

It happened just minutes before a 5-K charity race in the area.

No one was injured.

Authorities did not say whether or not they believe the incident is terror-related.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says multiple state and federal agencies are tracking down leads.

"We don't believe at this time that there's any evidence connecting it to the attacks in New York," Christie said. "The FBI is heading the investigation along with the New Jersey State police and our Office of Homeland Security. We have some promising leads, but no suspects at this time and so we're continuing to work with the authorities to make sure that we bring whoever's responsible for this to justice as quickly as possible."

The FBI says investigators are canvassing the Seaside Park area and are conducting interviews.

No arrests have been made.
