If you're looking to get in some last minute adventure this summer the city Parks Department might be able to help.

It's offering stand-up paddle boarding to New Yorkers at Marine Park in Brooklyn.

For $18, you can rent a board for an hour, and for a full day, it's just $40.

The director of the rental program says the sport is a great introduction to surfing.

"So it takes away from the danger, a lot of people aren't familiar with actually surf boarding so this gives you an opportunity to get on the surf board and actually experience the excitement of surfing just with the paddle," said Wheel Fun Rentals Regional Director Jermaine Sanders. "Start off on your knees, get yourself comfortable, understand how to actually maneuver the paddle board and you'll be great from there, you can stand up and go as far as you want to go."

You can also rent kayaks and paddle boats.
