Manhattan is getting a dash of Cuban flavor this week.

The Havana to Harlem Arts Festival is underway, the week long cultural exchange with jazz and dance performances and displays of art, photography and fashion.

Some local restaurants are also getting in on the act by featuring a special selection of Cuban-inspired dishes and cocktails in honor of the festival.

Organizers say Harlem and Havana have a shared history that goes back nearly a century.

"There's kind of a universal, kind of message being spread, and through the culture, the music, the religion, there's high spirituality of Cuba and also of us over here in Harlem," said JaSon Auguste, a participating artisit.

The festival goes until Sunday.
