Women-only swimming hours will continue at two Brooklyn pools after the city said the policy does not qualify as gender discrimination.

The Commission on Human Rights granted the exceptions to the Metropolitan Pool in Williamsburg and the St. John’s Recreation Center in Crown Heights after reviewing the legality of the special swimming sessions.

Women-only swimming is largely meant to accommodate Orthodox Jewish women whose religious beliefs bar them from bathing with men.

But the panel is decreasing the hours at the Met Pool from six and a half hours a week to two hours on Wednesdays and two hours on Sundays.

St. John’s will keep offering women-only swimming for two hours on Tuesday nights.

The commission says its ruling will allow women and girls to enjoy the pools without compromising their beliefs.

But the New York Civil Liberties Union calls the ruling troubling and says "The decision has the earmarks of unlawful, preferential treatment on the basis of religion."
