Zagat is overhauling its famous restaurant review rating system for a more simplified version.

The company's 30 point rating scale will now be an easy to read five point rating scale.

The system, similar to the ones used by other digital review outlets, will rate restaurants from poor, the lowest rating to perfection, the highest.

Zagat says it still plans to collect separate ratings for food, decor and service, making scores with decimal points a possibility.

Along with a new system comes an upgraded app and logo.

The app will now make suggestions based on a users location, time of day and what they might be craving.
