The 59th annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade marched through Midtown in Manhattan on Sunday, amid concerns organizers would cancel it.

The celebration of the U.S. territory's culture and heritage made its way up 5th Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street.

Millions of people lined the streets and waved the familiar red, white, and blue flag of Puerto Rico.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio, City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, Sen. Chuck Schumer, and Comptroller Scott Stringer participated in the festivities.

This year's grand marshal was singer Ednita Nazario.

But while it was a great party, the concerns over Puerto Rico's financial problems weren't far the minds of many.

Organizers talked about cancelling the parade this year, but decided against it.
