The New-York Historical Society is celebrating the late Muhammad Ali with a new art installation.

Among the items on display at the Upper West Side museum are a pair of boxing gloves and robe with Ali's signature.

A photo of the legendary boxer at Madison Square Garden taken by George Kalinsky in 1967 is also on display.

The museum is slated to open a second exhibit dedicated Ali featuring created by artist LeRoy Neiman later this year.

"We had just received last year an amazing gift from Time Inc., their archive that included Ali's robe and gloves autographed and we felt we really had an obligation to get these on view and allow New Yorkers to come and pay tribute to a great man," said Margi Hofer, the museum's director.

"Ali: A Tribute" runs through August.
