Police are investigating an attempted rape in Brooklyn earlier this week and are hoping surveillance video will provide some clues.

Investigators say the male suspect followed a 37-year-old woman into an apartment building near Driggs Avenue and South 8th Street in Williamsburg around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspected attacker then pulled her pants down, but she yelled for help and fought him off.

Police say he ran out of the building and headed south on Driggs Avenue.
