The America's Cup is sailing its way to the city this weekend after a 96-year absence.

The race will take place at the North Cove Marina in Lower Manhattan.

Team USA's skipper Jimmy Spithill says he's excited to show what the teams have to offer.

"The key ingredient for us, like a surf competition that needs waves, we need wind and there is wind on the horizon and it will really push these teams. New Yorkers are just a real tough bunch of people and the most important thing for me is that they're really big sporting fans, they love team sports so I think they're going to love what we're showcasing," Spithill said.

All of the teams will be on the water Friday before the races Saturday and Sunday.
