Parents will soon have a new report card to check out that does not rank their kids' performance, but the day care centers they attend.

State Senator Jeffery Klein says he will propose a new bill requiring all day care providers to post a so-called report card at entrances.

These would detail safety violations and program suspensions in order to help parents make an informed decision about where to send their children.

He says he expects the measure to pass within weeks, and have report cards implemented at all day care centers in the city by next summer.
