A high school football star accused of attempted murder was found not guilty on all charges Thursday in a Brooklyn courtroom.

Rahmel Ashby, 17, was accused of firing a gun into a crowd in April 2014.

Police also say he pressed a loaded gun into a police officer's chest as he was arrested in October of last year.

The senior played running back for Grand Street Campus in Brooklyn.

Despite the charges against him, the school allowed Ashby to play in December's City Championship football game, which his team went on to win.

In a statement, a spokesperson the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office said, "We disagree with the jury's verdict, but respect its decision."
