Hundreds took part in the annual Walk to Cure Arthritis in Manhattan Saturday.

Phoebe — who's the daughter of NY1's own Tara Lynn Wagner — was an honoree at the event.

The Arthritis Foundation and the Hospital for Special Surgery teamed up to host the walk across the Brooklyn Bridge ending at Foley Square Park.

It is aimed to raise awareness and funds for arthritis research.

Participants say this is a disease that can affect everyone.

"I think people think arthritis is just aches and pains and what they don't realize is that children can have arthritis, it's an inflammatory disease, it can be incredibly debilitating," said Sharon Callahan, CEO of TBWA WorldHealth.

"I think most people don't realize that children can get arthritis as well, Phoebe wasn't even two years old when she started getting her initial symptoms, it's really hard for a child that young because they can't tell you what's going on," said NY1's Tara Lynn Wagner.

The Arthritis Foundation says today's event has raised over $500,000 so far.
