Put that needle on the record for Record Store Day this Saturday.

The annual event is now in its ninth year, created to support independent record stores.

One of them is 'In Living Stereo' in Greenwich Village.

Owner Steve Mishoe says vinyl still offers that special quality that modern forms of music - like digital - just can't match.

"Vinyl is back. It's not just nostalgic. It's great sounding. You've got album art, you could flip through them. You can't do that digitally online. Tomorrow's gonna be a big celebration of music and we're looking forward to it," Mishoe said.

Several hundred artists are expected to show up at record stores across the city tomorrow, including Metallica, Graham Nash and Mumford and Sons.
