A wintry mix that made its way into New York City during the Friday morning rush made for some slick road conditions especially in the northern sections of the city.

The National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory for New York City that was in effect until 10 a.m.

Snowfall totals were expected to be in the two- to four-inch range.

The MTA reported some delays on all outdoor subway lines due to the bad weather.

Local, limited, and express buses on Staten Island were also running with delays.

Alternate side parking rules are suspended Friday to facilitate snow removal.

Mayor Bill de Blasio is warning New Yorkers to remain cautious on the roads tonight.

A travel advisory is in effect through Saturday.

Two to four inches of snow accumulated around the city Friday, and temperatures are expected to drop to below freezing overnight.
