The parents of Etan Patz have asked a court to throw out a wrongful death judgment against one of the men accused of killing their son.

Stan and Julie Patz say they no longer believe convicted child molester Jose Ramos killed Etan.

In 2005, Ramos was found guilty in abesntia in civil court because neither he nor an attorney appeared.

He has repeatedly denied any involvement.

The Patzes now say they are convinced Pedro Hernandez killed their son.

His first murder trial ended with a deadlocked jury last year.

Hernandez is expected to be retried this year.

Six-year-old Etan disappeared in 1979 while walking to his school bus stop in SoHo.

His body was never found, and he was declared dead in 2001.
