The large Pepsi-Cola sign in Long Island City was finally set for landmark designation Tuesday after years of waiting.

The city's Landmark Preservation Commission voted to prioritize the sign for the status.

It's one of 95 properties that have been backlogged for years that the commission had under consideration.

The commission held public hearings on the properties giving New Yorkers the chance to support each item up for consideration.

Three buildings in Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn are also on the list.

They have been backlogged for landmark status since 1981.

The commission says it hopes to get through the list of properties by the end of the year.
