The Brooklyn Nets have opened a new training facility in Sunset Park.

The Hospital for Special Surgery Training Center completes the move of the entire organization to the borough.

The move will bring more than 40 full-time jobs to Brooklyn.

Since the team's move in 2012, the Nets had been practicing at a facility in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Team owner Mikhail Prokhorov spoke about the importance of the facility.

"Friends, players colleagues. At last, this day has come. The Nets are 100 percent a part of Brooklyn," Prokhorov said.

"There's a synergy here that's extraordinarily exciting, and I want to say, the Nets are contributing greatly to what happening here in Brooklyn in so many ways," said Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Officials say by having the training facility in Brooklyn, it will allow the team to be fully connected with the community.
