A Bronx man is facing charges he slashed a woman's face in Manhattan Wednesday morning.

Kari Bazemore, 41, is charged with assault and criminal weapons possession.

Police say surveillance video shows Bazemore walking up to the vicim on 23rd Street near Seventh Avenue in Chelsea.

He then slashes her with an unknown object and runs off.

The NYPD says he was arrested around 6 p.m. near St. Patrick's Cathedral.

A man recognized Bazemore from this video and alerted two mounted officers who helped take him into custody.
