Police in Manhattan are looking for a person of interest in connection with a fatal stabbing inside a homeless shelter.
Investigators are looking to question 21-year-old Anthony White, who they say is the man in the above surveillance photo.
They say he may have been involved in the stabbing death of Devon Black.
Police say the 62-year-old Black was stabbed in the neck after an argument. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources tell NY1 that Black was a special ed teacher from 2004 to January 2015. According to sources, Black was suspended without pay in 2015 after an arrest and conviction.
The stabbing happened at the Boulevard Homeless Shelter on Lexington Avenue near 124th Street just before midnight Wednesday. Police say both men lived there.
"This is a shelter that had metal detectors, that had its own private security, that had all the things that we need to make sure shelters are safe. Something went wrong," said Mayor Bill de Blasio. "We're going to do a full investigation to find out how this was possible."
