More than 58 million tourists visited the city last year, breaking an all-time high.

City officials say this is the sixth consecutive year of record tourism growth.

Forty-six million people from across the U.S. visited the five boroughs last year.

More than 12 million people from around the world enjoyed the city that never sleeps.

The hotel industry did very well with nearly 34 million hotel room-nights sold in 2015.

Meeting and convention delegates also reached new heights, with more than six million attendees.

There were plenty of new attractions last year that helped boost tourism, including the opening of the Whitney Museum of American Art in Chelsea, the opening of One World Observatory atop the World Trade Center, and the 7 line's extension to Manhattan's Far West Side.
