It's still not clear how much snow we'll get this weekend, but organizers of Winter Jam are not taking any chances.

Crews from Gore Mountain in the Adirondacks are making snow and blowing it around in Central Park for the festival, which takes place Saturday.

Winter activities will include skiing, snowboarding and sledding.

"Everybody's encouraged to be here, especially young people, and any urbanite that's just itching to ski and we'll have the ski hill for you, it'll be very enjoyable and it's all free," said Director of Snowmaking Volunteers at Gore Mountain Timothy Burdick.

Winter Jam runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
