After 25 years, a leading LGBT advocacy group is closing up shop.

The Empire State Pride Agenda plans to wind down operations in the next six months.

The group worked to legalize same-sex marriage and extend other protections to members of the LGBT community.

Officials made the decision after achieving their top remaining policy priority.

That came two months ago when Governor Cuomo announced plans for an executive order to ban harassment and discrimination against transgender New Yorkers.

The group will maintain its Political Action Committee so it can continue to play a role in electoral politics.
