Sources say Amazon is pulling subway ads featuring Nazi imagery after outrage from commuters.

The tech giant papered the Times Square shuttle train to promote "The Man in the High Castle" — its new alternative history series where America is occupied by Nazi Germany.

Some groups slammed the ads as exploitative and insensitive.

The MTA previously said it had no grounds to remove the ads since they don't violate its content standards.

Some straphangers we spoke to weren't paying attention to them.

"I hadn't noticed that," one said, "That's a little disturbing."

"Don't think much of them," said another. "Don't really notice them. I don't think they're offensive, it's a TV show and it's better than nothing, I think."

"I think that, you know, everybody should, you know, express their own opinion on, you know, race, religion and that, you know, this really isn't everyone's opinion on what should be here," said a third.

Meantime Mayor de Blasio responded to the controversy in a statement, saying:

“While these ads technically may be within MTA guidelines, they’re irresponsible and offensive to World War II and Holocaust survivors, their families, and countless other New Yorkers. Amazon should take them down.”
