Local and federal law enforcement agencies tested their readiness Sunday with emergency drills at an abandoned subway station in Manhattan.

The inter-agency drills took place at the empty station on Broadway and Kenmare Street in the Bowery.

Two separate scenarios were played out. Each involved an active shooter and one added a suicide bomber in the wake of the Paris attacks.

City and agency leaders including Mayor Bill de Blasio and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson watched as the drills took place.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton says both police and fire officials will review these drills to see how first-responders worked together to tackle the situation.

"Our responding officers as they were coming in, were they doing what we trained them to do, cover conceal, cover, move forward?" Bratton asked. "Did they miss something going by an active shooter, for example?

"The fire department, I'm sure they are looking at the response. Did their people do the appropriate work that they had to do?"

Officials say lessons learned from today's drill will be shared with law enforcement agencies from all across the country.

More drills are being planned for the near future.
