The 24th annual Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden is opening its doors Saturday for its biggest show yet.

Model trains will be cruising through a display of more than a 100 landmarks on a nearly half-mile long track.

Visitors will see familiar sights like the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty at every turn.

This year's exhibit also has 3,000 square feet of additional space and will feature a light and sound show for the finale.

"This is a whole new sort of display and layout that even has impressed me you know for seeing it as many years as I have. You get to see the trains a little bit more clearly. They're above you, they're around you, the buildings are at eye level and new expanded tent space," said NYBG Director of Public Education Gayle Schmidt.

"You can get a better look at everything, just more space, more just elbow room and it's really great," said NYBG Associate Vice President for Exhibitions and Public Engagement Karen Daubmann.

And the fun isn't just for kids: On select nights, bars will be set up on the grounds and in the exhibit with everything from ice sculptors to fire performers.
