Jury selection got underway Monday in the federal corruption trial of former state Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos.
Skelos is accused of using his official position to make hundreds of thousands of dollars for his son, Adam.
Both father and son are charged with extortion, bribery and honest services fraud.
Skelos has maintained his innocence. He says he believes he and his son will be acquitted.
