A two-car crash in Queens Tuesday night left one woman dead and a 2-year-old girl in critical condition.
Police say it happened just before 6 p.m. when a white SUV heading West on Atlantic Avenue ran a red light at 108th Street in Richmond Hill.
An oncoming black Kia hit the SUV, sending it onto the sidewalk.
It hit two women and a two-year-old child.
"The little girl, she was just crying. Her shoes were off her feet. She was crying, but I couldn't tell how bad she was. But the older woman, she was definitely hurt bad," said one witness at the scene.
Meena Mahabir was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The other woman who was hit and the drivers of both vehicles remain hospitalized.
So far, there are no charges.
