The hunt is on for the man who pulled off a gunpoint robbery at the Plaza Hotel Monday morning.

Police say he entered the hotel's currency exchange and requested 500 Euros.

As the cash was being counted, the man pulled out a black handgun and snatched the whole stack from the teller's hand.

Police say the man actually got away with more than 4,600 Euros, which are worth nearly $5,200 U.S.

He was last seen walking east on 58th Street wearing glasses and brown shoes, and was carrying a black bag.

Anyone with information about either case is asked to call Crimestoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
