With the Mets and Yankees both headed to the playoffs, fans want to be careful that they don't strike out when it comes to tickets.

The Yankees are going to the postseason for the first time since 2012.

It's the first trip for the Mets since 2006.

And with ticket demand very high, State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is warning New Yorkers to watch out for scammers.

His tips include getting tickets straight from the team's website, watching out for ticket prices that are too good to be true, and avoiding high-pressure sales tactics.

He also says fans shouldn't pay by cash, wire transfer or pre-paid money transfer.
