The Mets are down two games to none in the world series, but they are not out - and neither are their fans. NY1's Roger Clark filed the following report.

Mets fan and MetsPolice.com blogger Keith Blacknick has a message for fellow Amazins followers with their team down 2-0 in the World Series.

"It's not time to be negative. Enjoy the ride," Blacknick said.

It's tough for some after the Mets dropped the first two games in Kansas City. Game 1 was a heartbreaking loss in 14 innings, Game 2 a 7-to-1 beating where the Mets' bats were asleep.

MLB.com and justmets.net writer Michael Baron says you can't rule the Mets out - but they have to win Friday night.

"Then get to tomorrow. Win tomorrow. And put a tied series in the hands of Matt Harvey in Game 5. And that's just view they have to have. One day at a time," Baron noted.

Baron says it helps that the Mets are back home at Citi Field - it will be loud - with the Piano Man Billy Joel of Long Island performing the national anthem.

"I think home field advantage helps in New York. It's a different crowd, a different atmosphere. And that's all you can hope for. That the fans will them to victory, they start playing the way they have bee known to play all year long and if that happens they are going to win the game," Baron said.

Season ticket-holder Keith Blacknick, who has a bobble head of himself in a Mets jersey, says he is not all that worried.

"From being a Mets fan since I was a kid, it's about having a whole bunch of adversity. The team never makes it easy. It just makes winning so much better," he added.

The Mets will have another familiar face at the ballpark to get the fans going Friday. All-Star catcher Mike Piazza of the 2000 World Series team will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
