Investigators release surveillance video of three men they say were in a shootout that prompted the response of a city cop who was later killed.

This footage shows the group of men wanted for questioning.

Police say they were involved in a gunfight Tuesday night near a public housing complex in East Harlem.

Police Officer Randolph Holder and his partner responded to that call and came upon a man who said he had just been robbed of his bicycle at gunpoint.

A few minutes later, the officers encountered 30-year-old Tyrone Howard.

Investigators say he shot Officer Holder once in the head.

Howard was shot in the leg by Holder's partner and despite being injured, managed to run off but was caught a short time later.

He is now facing murder and robbery charges.
