If you're looking to do something around town this weekend, dozens of city landmarks are opening their doors to give the public a glimpse inside.

Cipriani at the Cunard Building in Lower Manhattan is one site opening up this weekend.

It was originally a ticketing office for a shipline and later a post office.

Now its an event space.

The 13th Annual Open House New York begins on Saturday, and every year it gives New Yorkers a chance to tour some of the city's most interesting buildings and meet the people who helped build and preserve them.

It's just one of 150 sites participating this weekend for free.

"Each year for one weekend year we open up hundreds of buildings across the city. It's a chance for the public to get inside places that they otherwise couldn't and its just a citywide celebration of architecture and design in New York," said Open House New York Executive Director Gregory Wessner.

Other sites in this year's line up include Google Headquarters in Chelsea, the iconic Kings Theater in Flatbush, and the Sunset Park Recycling facility in Greenwood, Brooklyn.

Some tours require advance reservations and a small fee.
