Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of the man they say shot and killed a woman and injured two others outside a Manhattan nightclub over the long holiday weekend.

Dalone Jamison of the Bronx is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of second-degree assault and three charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

The shooting happened outside Motivo on Broadway at 21st Street in Flatiron around 4 a.m. Monday.

Investigators say Jamison was kicked out of the club for arguing with another patron.

They say he told bouncers he was coming back with a gun.

Police say he shot into a crowd outside, hitting 24-year-old Walikque Faussett in the back.

She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

As they try to find out what started the fight, police talked about the relationship between the gunman and victim.

"It turns out he does know the victim. I don't believe at the time he knew who he was shooting at," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce. "Right now, we're trying to develop that as we go forward. He fought with someone. He was arguing with another lady in the club. He was part of, friends with one of the DJs there. So we'll speak to those folks as we go forward."

Two other women were shot and are in serious but stable condition.

Police say they believe the intended target were the bouncers, not the women.
