It's National Coming Out Day, and the FDNY is showing its support for LGBTQ youth.
The department teamed up with the It Gets Better project to release a video that features a dozen firefighters, paramedics and EMTs telling their coming out stories and urging young people to take pride in who they are.
The It Gets Better project began in 2010. Since then, tens of thousands of videos have been uploaded supporting the community, including one from President Barack Obama.
