Police have arrested the man accused of opening fire on officers in Brooklyn Friday morning.

Authorities say that 27-year-old Jerrol Harris was shot in the leg when police fired back. He faces a long list of charges, including four counts of attempting to murder a police officer..

Investigators say Harris shot a 52-year-old man in the arm near Madison Street and Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick.

After plaincothes officers found the injured man, they canvassed the neighborhood in an unmarked car and found Harris less than a mile away on Jefferson Avenue between Bushwick and Evergreen Avenues.

That's when the NYPD says Harris shot at the officers, hitting their car.

After the officers called in additional police to help chase Harris on foot, an officer shot Harris in the calf.

Officers recovered this gun from the scene.

Harris and the original shooting victim were taken to separate hospitals, and both are in stable condition.

Harris faces additional charges for the first shooting, including second-degree attempted murder and assault.
