After security guards working for Donald Trump hit and pushed a protester, there may be legal action coming from both sides.

A Manhattan lawyer who says he represents demonstrator Efrain Galicia says he's interviewing witnesses and reviewing the footage.

Galicia was protesting Trump's immigration policies on the sidewalk outside Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue.

The Trump employees took signs, and when Galicia vigorously tried to retrieve them, a person believed to be the head of Trump's security detail hit him in the head.

"You see in the video, the level of aggression, hostility and physical interaction that the security guard takes we believe may violate Mr. Galicia's right—in particularly, his right to be secure in his person and be free from assault, battery and having his material taken from him and destroyed in front of him on a public sidewalk in a public protest," said a lawyer for Galicia, Benjamin Dictor.

The Trump campaign responds that they will be taking legal action against Galicia, saying: "The protesters outside Trump Tower, many of whom were dressed in Klu Klux Klan outfits, were harassing people on the street. A member of the Trump security team reacted, but only after first being attacked from behind and assaulted."

Police made no arrests.
