Dancing monsters and scary skeletons made their way through Greenwich Village Friday night as part of the 41st annual Village Halloween Parade.

The parade, which began at 7 p.m., ran along Sixth Avenue from Spring Street to 16th Street.

The lineup section runs from Canal Street to Spring.

This year's theme is the Garden of Earthly Delights and the grand marshal is Whoopi Goldberg.

The station's parade show was hosted by Pat Kiernan and Jamie Stelter, and included Roger Clark, and Stephanie Simon.

They are all dressed as characters from the Broadway show "On the Town."

We asked some parade goers what inspired their costumes.

"We're Victorian ghosts. We came up for Georgia just for this parade," one man said.

"Thank you, thank you very much," said another man dressed as Elvis.

"I'm scared of scary clowns but I'm a good clown," said another person.

"I'm enjoying myself tremendously. It's my first time at the parade. It's really terrific, really wonderful," another said.
