Some subway dance performers are taking their talents above ground.

The pilot program "It's Showtime NYC" gives dancers legal space to show off their moves and make a few bucks.

It's designed as an alternative to unlawful performances onboard subway cars, which can result in fines and even arrests.

Last year, the NYPD started cracking down on subway performers.

According to the New York Times, arrests of transit dancers are down 30 percent so far this year.

The performances will take place every Saturday in September from 12 to 4 p.m. in Battery Park.
