Investigators have released surveillance video of two men they say shot up a backyard party in Brooklyn this weekend - part of a slew of gun violence across the city that left two people dead and more than a dozen others wounded.

It happened early Sunday morning on Stanley Avenue near Crescent Street in East New York.

Police say the men seen walked up to the party and opened fire.

It's unclear if the shooters were invited to the party or if they were targeting anyone in particular.

Nine people were shot between the ages of 19 and 38 years old.

Four others suffered minor cuts and bruises trying to get away from the shooting.

Residents we spoke with had mixed reactions.

"I'm kind of used to it. Been living in this neighborhood since I was a child. East New York is not the nicest or the safest neighborhood, some people will say that. But for those who live here, we're not intimidated or frightened by the crime," said one resident.

"It makes me very nervous, makes me very nervous. I'm actually about to move from around here," said another resident.

None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Meanwhile, in Fort Greene, police are investigating the shooting death of a 46-year-old man.

This incident also took place early Sunday morning in the courtyard of the Whitman Houses on North Oxford Walk.

Police found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital.

No arrests have been made.
